Matchmaking is better known to players as the "balancer," but this mechanic in War Thunder is called matchmaking for good reason. Unlike simple team selection systems, designed only to balance out the game sessions, the capabilities of War Thunder's system are much broader. It allows you to create sessions with strictly defined vehicles, restrictions on certain types and classes and various other configurations. Not sure if above I just know I seen Shermans! Right now Playing other nation isn't ideal and I'm stuck with Premium that I can not take advantage of, there is no point in being Premium when I have researched the new tanks released for US Ground forces and unable to get a fair match in my Low BR forces. Question, How does Battle Rating work and how would I research new tanks on a faction I never played before when none of my shot would penetrate? Right now I'm a moving target that can't do a darn thing.

How Wargaming Sabotages Competition (War Thunder)
One of the oldest civilizations in the world, with a rich and dramatic historical background, especially during the 20th century. Players who wish to gain access to the entire Chinese tech tree as fast as possible can do so by fulfilling a series of in-game tasks in War Thunder, or by purchasing one of the Chinese pre-order packs that include a premium vehicle, in-game currency, premium account time, and cosmetic items. One of the packs will grant access to the aircraft tech tree, and the other one will open the ground vehicles tech tree.
Battle ratings are used by War Thunder to determine matchmaking in-game. Battle ratings are calculated by examining how well an aircraft or ground unit fares in different game modes, and they may differ for each game mode for the same vehicle for example, an aircraft or ground unit may perform considerably better in arcade mode than realistic battles mode, and so will have a higher battle rating in the former. This allows for a balanced game at all ranks and using all vehicles, meaning that certain nations having technological advantages at different periods in the game's timeline is not an issue when playing, and planes that are too powerful do not ruin gameplay for those flying less effective aircraft. For Arcade Air Battles, a formula is in place that calculates your overall Battle Rating, aka the Battle Rating that the Matchmaker will use to match opponents against you, based on the three highest aircraft in your lineup in regards to their individual BR. What does that mean for you, as a player?
